February Kid Librarian of the Month
The Harlowton Public Library, along with Hillcrest Elementary School, is pleased to honor one student each month to be named Kid Librarian of the Month.
We would like to introduce our Kid Librarian for February, Alyce Breding.
The Harlowton Public Library and Hillcrest Elementary School are proud to continue partnering for the 2025-26 Kid Librarian program, a year-long initiative celebrating students who demonstrate exceptional behavior, manners, and respect.
How the Program Works
Each month, Hillcrest Elementary teachers nominate six students who have shown outstanding behavior in the lunchroom, on the bus, on the playground, and in the school hallways. One winner is selected through a random drawing to receive the prestigious title of Kid Librarian of the Month.
February’s Kid Librarian:
Alyce Breding
Congratulations to Alyce Breding, our Kid Librarian for the month of February! Alyce has already made her mark by creating her very own book and DVD display at the Harlowton Public Library. As this month’s honoree, Alyce receives several special privileges:
- A personalized book display at the Harlowton Public Library
- Recognition in the Engineer Express newspaper
- Features on both the Harlowton Public Library and Hillcrest Elementary Facebook pages
- The opportunity to choose one classmate to join her for lunch in Ms. Snelling’s office
The Kid Librarian program reinforces positive behavior while fostering a love of reading and community engagement. We look forward to recognizing deserving students throughout the school year and celebrating the values that make Hillcrest Elementary a wonderful place to learn.
Stay tuned for next month’s Kid Librarian announcement!
