The Harlowton Public Library had another strong year serving our community. Here’s a look at what we accomplished together in 2025.
By the Numbers
Our library was open for 1,976 hours throughout the year, welcoming 14,346 people through our doors. Currently, 767 community members have library cards with us.
Our collection grew to 17,629 items, including 16,379 print materials, 371 audio items, and 808 videos. Beyond our physical collection, patrons borrowed 2,535 e-materials, contributing to a total of 16,990 checkouts for the year.
Community Access and Technology
Technology access remains an important part of our service. We logged 1,897 uses of our public computers and 4,374 Wi-Fi sessions, providing essential internet access to our community.
Through interlibrary loan, we lent items to other libraries 31 times and brought in 2 items upon patron request, connecting our community to resources beyond our walls.
Programs and Engagement
We offered 197 programs throughout 2025, with 2,962 people attending in total. These programs brought neighbors together and supported lifelong learning for all ages.
All data contained herein is preliminary and supplied directly by each of the public libraries of Montana through the Public Libraries Survey, administered annually by the Montana State Library (MSL) on behalf of the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).
Thank you to everyone who made the Harlowton Public Library part of their 2025. We look forward to serving you in the year ahead.
